Lewis Teacher Runs With A Purpose
Ms. Dana Dye, ESOL Teacher at John R. Lewis High School was honored to run the 50th Anniversary New York City Marathon this year for breast cancer awareness and research. She raised over $3,000 and 100% went towards breast cancer research to the Carol M. Baldwin Fund. As a team, they raised over $75,000. It was Dana's 11th marathon and 2nd NYC Marathon; however, this marathon was special to her because she is a breast cancer survivor. Every day is a gift, and she hopes to run many more marathons in the future.
Way to go, Ms. Dye!!
