Overview
Welcome to the Special Education Department of Lewis High School. We strive to work collaboratively with families of students who have been identified with a disability that impacts their education, to ensure that they are supported and make progress towards graduation. Each student in our department is assigned a case manager that works closely with the student to ensure that the IEP is being implemented and that the student is being supported in all of their classes. We offer the continuum of services for students with disabilities, which includes; Self-contained classes, Team taught classes, and Collaboration/ consultation with General Education Teachers.
If you are a parent of a student who does not currently have eligibility for Special Education Services but believe that a disability is present, please contact the Department Chair or your student’s counselor to make a referral.
