How to Apply as a Transfer Student
Transfer applications can be submitted at https://insys.fcps.edu/StudentTransfer/login. For more information, prospective students and families can visit https://www.fcps.edu/registration/student-transfer-information. This is the transfer application portal for all FCPS student transfer opportunities.
The transfer application will be open starting February 1. There are a limited number of available seats for the Lewis Leadership Program. Students should apply early because applications will be considered on a space available basis and based on date of receipt.
- Fee: There is a $100 application non-refundable fee to apply. The fee is waived for students receiving free or reduced price meals. If your family does not qualify for free or reduced price meals, but the fee presents a hardship, please talk to your current school’s principal for assistance.
- Transportation: Transportation will not be provided to students who transfer to John Lewis High School for the Lewis Leadership Program. Notification about admissions: Decisions regarding Lewis Leadership Program transfer requests will be made after course selection is complete for base school students. Decisions will be sent to families by April 1.
