One thing you can always say about the Lee Faculty and Staff, is that they love their students and their community.  When students and staff were relegated to staying home because of the Coronavirus, Mr. Hartsell, teacher of the Lancer Singers rallied his leadership council together to try and bring together the Lee Community.  Said Mr. Hartsell- “Last week the lancer singer’s leadership council and I discussed some ideas as to how we could all stay connected and see each other during this crazy time. So, we came up with a Spirit Week Challenge! Each day was a different challenge:

Monday-Video chat a friend

Tuesday-Show us what you are eating

Wednesday-Self-care day

Thursday-Outside/pet day

Friday-Favorite Music T-Shirt

Students and staff would take pictures and post on social medial for all to see and everyone was encouraged to participate. They had a great turn out, with many students, teachers, and community members participating.  Their goal was to try and brighten everyone’s day with a friendly challenge, and to find a way to virtually connect with one another.  With all the creative pictures that were posted on social media, mission accomplished!

Mr. Hartsell, and the Lancer Singers hope that this challenge helped people take a moment away from the craziness of the world to just stop and be more present with something positive and fun!  Their leadership council will be continuing to brainstorm more ways everyone can stay connected over the next few months.  You can follow them on Instagram and twitter: @lancersingers
