Congratulations to our school website and school web curator Mr. Matthew Macdonald. The Lewis HS website was one of ten recognized schools at this year's FCPS Web Curator's Conference with its "Best Use of Feature" tool to spotlight student successes and other happenings within the school.

Below is a portion of the write-up recognizing Mr. Macdonald for his award.

Matthew Macdonald became the Lewis HS curator in January of 2019 and immediately began displaying happenings in the school through a variety of features/blogs. Through the illumination of a multitude of events that have included the annual unified Olympics basketball tournament to a freshman getting her crossword puzzle posted in a local newspaper to the photos of recipients of the annual scholastic art awards to student authors reading their publications to feeder elementary schools, Matt has encompassed so much of what makes Lewis unique. Through nine months on the job, Matt has created 16 beautiful features that range from academics to the arts to athletics and everything in between. Just recently, he showcased to faculty members who recently completed their dissertations and added the doctor salutation before their names.
