Administrative Assistant, Lourdes Salas, is an indispensable member of the Lewis High School library team. The Lewis High School staff and librarians were blown away by all her efforts to improve the library over the summer. Every storage area and shelf were organized. The new books are processed and ready for students to check out. Creative book displays with inviting signs were sprinkled throughout the library. She always challenges herself and take on new jobs in the library and go above and beyond. This summer, an example of this is her approach to the library book inventory, where books in the collection are checked. This is a painstaking process that involves attention to detail. When asked to inventory a large portion of the nonfiction collection over the summer, Lourdes replied, "I think we should inventory all the nonfiction books so that everything will be in order.” Lourdes takes pride in her work and makes the library a welcoming space that is READY for the new school year. Lewis High School is lucky to have her!
