John R. Lewis High School Senior, Kimberly Boateng, recently spoke at the Smithsonian National Youth Summit held on September 22nd to address “Teen Resistance To Systemic Racism”.  Ms. Boateng, who is recognized as a student leader at Lewis High School, is a member of SGA this year and currently serves as the Class of 2021 President. She also served as the Student Representative to the FCPS School Board in 2019-2020. You can find more information about the National Youth Summit by clicking HERE.

Senior student Kadija Ismail recently participated in the Constitution Day Roundtable Discussion with U.S. Senator Time Kaine on September 17th. The FCPS School Board and League of Women Voters sponsored event centered on voter registration and civic engagement. Kadija is a current member of the Student Government Association (SGA) at Lewis High School.

We are so proud of both senior student leaders for representing Lewis High School and exemplifying what is means to be a Lancer!
