Numerous Students Place at Competitive Regional Science Fair
The 2020 Fairfax County Regional Science fair was held virtually for the first time ever, which was a new challenge for students and teachers on top of the usual work that goes into science fair projects. Many of our amazing Lewis HS students that went to the Regional Fair won an award! This includes a first-place award in the category of Physics & Astronomy won by Bryan Hernandez, Hassan Khan, and Edson Medina, and three second-place awards in Chemistry.
We also had several students place in the Corporate and Organization Awards, which included a 1st place finish for Outstanding Achievement in Optics & Photonics. Those students were Bryan Hernandez, Hassan Khan, and Edson Medina.
