INFORMATION FOR SAT TESTING ON SAT., 6/4

-

Lewis High School will be hosting the June 4th SAT administration.  Please be aware of the following regulations and policies prior to arriving to test on June 4th:

  • Masks are not required at this time, as per FCPS policy.
  • Testing rooms will have twenty (20) testers per room.  Desks will be spaced apart at their normal distance of roughly three (3) feet apart.
  • Regarding building entry:
  • Testers will be permitted to begin entering the building at approximately 7:30 am.  Please plan to arrive around that time, as students will not be permitted to enter prior to that time.
  • When doors are opened, testers may enter the building and will then need to wait in the Main Lobby until dismissed to their assigned testing rooms.  This dismissal to testing rooms will not be until approximately 7:45 am.
  • While waiting, testers may find their room assignment by finding the SAT rosters available on tables, and attached to several walls, around the Main Lobby.  These rosters list students by last name, and will indicate which testing room each tester has been assigned.
  • Students with any accommodations should inform an SAT staffer, who can help them to locate their testing room.
  • Regarding testing rooms:
  • Before testers can be allowed into their assigned testing room, they must provide two pieces of identification to the Room Proctor -- their printed Testing Ticket, and a valid ID of some kind (please check here concerning allowable and not allowable forms of identification).
  • TO BE CLEAR – NO STUDENT WILL BE PERMITTED TO TEST UNLESS THEY HAVE WITH THEM:
  • A printed Testing Ticket, printed from College Board’s website --  students may NOT use a Testing Ticket that’s on their phone!
  • A valid photo ID (again, see the link above to determine if your ID is acceptable or not)
  • Testers should do everything they can to have their identification ready when they arrive at their testing room, so they can move into the room quickly and help avoid testers clustering around a test room door.
  • Students choosing to wear masks must temporarily pull their masks down during center and room check-in, pulling them away from their face for ID verification.
  • Each testing room will have a container of hand sanitizer available.
  • Paper bags will be provided for testers to place their electronic devices in – the tester will label his/her own bag, then place it into a bin during the test – this way,  SAT staff do not need to handle tester devices.
